Sign ups: You can sign up for the race at the Olympic Peninsula Paddlers Club tent on Hollywood Beach Friday, April 11th, Noon to 5pm, Saturday, 9am to 5pm or Sunday at 8am to 8:30am. This race is FREE!

There will be 8 different catagories:

Kayaks over 18 feet
Male 50 or older
Female 50 or older
Male under 50
Female under 50

Kayaks 18 feet and under
Male 50 or older
Female 50 or older
Male under 50
Female under 50

Prizes will be awarded as follows for the four catagories with the most participants:

1st: Free Night's Stay at the Red Lion Hotel
2nd: $25 Gift Certificate from Olympic Raft & Kayak
3rd: One Year Annual Dues for Olympic Peninsula Paddlers Club

Prizes will be awarded as follows for the other four catagories:

Awards Ceremony will follow last paddler on the beach.

Race Rules: We'll have a water start from the east end of Hollywood Beach at 9am. Plan to arrive 1/2 hour early. PFDs are required. Racers MUST help with rescues if someone is in the water and not being directly attended to by a safety boater. Race time is taken when kayak or kayaker hits dry land on Hollywood Beach in the designated area.

The course will be from Hollywood Beach westbound around the City Pier to the GREEN BOUY near the entrance to the Boat Haven Marina. Circle the bouy clockwise and head east to the GREEN BOUY at Rayonier Pier (east of Hollywood
Beach) again, circle clockwise and head back to Hollywood Beach. Map will be available at time of race.
