ADMISSION to the demo beach $5 or FREE with a PA Food Bank donation. The demo beach will be open Friday 1pm-5pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 9am-3pm.

CLINICS will be held throughout the 3 days on various kayaking techniques, safety, etc. We are bringing in the regions best instructors to teach beginning through advanced skills and techniques as well as slide shows and other on-land informative talks. Clinics, slide shows and other presentations have a small fee to help offset the costs of the Coaches and Instructors time, travel and accommodations.

CLINIC INSTRUCTORS: This list reads like the Who’s Who of West Coast kayak instructors. Many of the country’s most respected instructors are paddling into town for this event.

Friday Night – WILD ISLAND SHORELINES: Join Northwest kayaker and author Ken Campbell for a presentation of stories and images from the most beautiful paddling destinations in North America. Wild Island Shorelines showcases the best of Vancouver Island, the Pacific Northwest, the Santa Barbara Channel Islands and Newfoundland. Informative and entertaining, this is a kayaking journey that is not to be missed. 7pm at the Peninsula Room, Red Lion Hotel $5
Saturday Night – PADDLING WALES – In April of 2009 Brent Sund, president of the Washington Kayak Club, led 8 members on the Club’s first international expedition. The team went to Anglesey, Wales, known for having some of the most difficult conditions to sea kayak in the world. Brent was assisted by Bill McKenzie as the team paddled the west coast of Anglesey. The team also traveled around northern Wales and throughout the U.K. seeing and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Join Brent and Bill as they share photos and stories of this great adventure. 7pm at the Peninsula Room, Red Lion Hotel $5
5th ANNUAL COHO DODGE AND DASH KAYAK RACE: Olympic Raft & Kayak and Olympic Peninsula Paddlers Club are sponsoring this kayak race on Sunday morning. Race starts at 9 am so participants need to be there at 8:30 am. There is a 3.6 nm course with eight different competitor catagories. Prizes include gift certificates and t-shirts from Olympic Raft & Kayak and free one year membership dues to Olympic Peninsula Paddlers Club!
BEACH PARTY: Join us on both Friday and Saturday nights on Hollywood Beach! We’ll have a fire and all are welcome to bring instruments and a few pieces of firewood. We’ll have a few tents if the weather is rainy.
